It is possible to experience headaches, stomach upset, back pain, flushing, muscle pain, stuffy nose, or dizziness. Tell your doctor or pharmacist right away if any of these side effects continue or worsen.

When rising slowly from a sitting or lying position, you will reduce the risk of dizziness and lightheadedness.

Keep in mind that your doctor approved this drug because he or she believes the value to you outweighs the risk of side effects. The majority of people who take this drug do not experience any significant side effects.

Sexual activity can put your heart under additional pressure, particularly if you already have heart problems. If you have a heart condition and experience any of the following serious side effects when having sex, stop immediately and seek medical attention: extreme dizziness, fainting, chest/jaw/left arm pain, nausea.

Sudden vision loss, including permanent blindness, in one or both eyes (NAION) is a rare occurrence. Stop taking tadalafil and seek medical attention right away if this severe condition arises. If you have heart disease, diabetes, high cholesterol, some other eye disorders ("crowded disc"), high blood pressure, are over 50, or smoke, you have a marginally higher risk of developing NAION.

A sudden loss of hearing, often accompanied by ringing in the ears and dizziness, may occur in rare cases. If these side effects arise, stop taking tadalafil and seek medical attention right away.

If you have a painful or prolonged erection that lasts 4 hours or longer, stop taking this medication and seek medical attention right away, or permanent problems can result.

This medication rarely causes a severe allergic reaction. However, if you have any signs of a serious allergic reaction, such as a rash, itching/swelling (especially of the face/tongue/throat), extreme dizziness, or difficulty breathing, seek medical attention right away.

Precautions

Tell your doctor or pharmacist whether you are allergic to tadalafil or whether you have any other allergies until taking it. Inactive ingredients can be present in this product, causing allergic reactions or other issues. For more details, speak with your pharmacist.

Tell your doctor or pharmacist about your medical history, particularly if you have had a heart attack or a life-threatening irregular heartbeat in the previous 6 months, chest pain/angina, or heart failure, or if you have had a stroke in the previous 6 months, kidney disease, liver disease, high or low blood pressure, a severe loss of body water (dehydration), or penis conditions (such as angulation, or a severe loss of body water (dehydration).

This medication has the potential to make you dizzy. You can get dizzy if you consume alcohol or marijuana (cannabis). Do not drive, operate machinery, or engage in any other activity that requires alertness until you are sure you can do so safely. Limit your intake of alcoholic drinks. If you use marijuana, talk to your doctor (cannabis).

Tell your doctor or dentist of all the things you use before surgery (including prescription drugs, nonprescription drugs, and herbal products).

This drug's brand isn't often prescribed to women. During breastfeeding, tadalafil should only be used when absolutely necessary. Consult your doctor about the risks and benefits.

This drug does not seem to migrate into breast milk. Before you start breastfeeding, talk to your doctor.
